RICBW Launches 20/40 Mentoring Program

RICBW launched its Mentoring 20/40 program during National Mentoring Month with an orientation hosted by United Way of RI on January 12, 2019. The Mentoring 20/40 pilot program has a goal of addressing the lack of mentoring in career development and leadership for Black women (ages 20-40) in Rhode Island.

Current research reveals that Black women face inequality on several fronts, including employment and earnings. Six parings of younger Black women with more senior experienced Black women have been initiated to provide support, guidance, and role modeling. The pilot will last for six months.
