About RICBW
Rhode Island Coalition of Black Women, Inc. is a vibrant nonprofit organization working to ensure that Black women and girls in Rhode Island have the resources they need to thrive and strengthen their communities.
OUR MISSION:
Cultivate, Enrich, Empower
RICBW’s mission as a membership organization is to strengthen and advance a thriving community of Black women and girls where members flourish, uplift one another, and collectively create a more just world.
Through community building events, personal and professional development activities, and advocacy, RICBW’s initiatives champion holistic well-being, purposeful action, and a future where every Black woman and girl thrives in a vibrant, healthy community.
Our vision:
Social and Economic Equality
RICBW imagines a world where Black women and their families thrive, experience joy, and are not defined by their struggles. A world in which everyone reaches their full potential in all aspects of life and are able to create unlimited opportunities for future generations.
In pursuing this vision of liberation, we seek to build and nourish a strong, multiracial, intergenerational, grassroots network that is focused on connection, economic empowerment, community-led action, healing, and wellness.
