RICBW Summer Social

RICBW held its first Summertime Social on August 23, 2018 with over 40 women in attendance. The purpose of the event was to introduce RI Coalition of Black Women (formerly National Coalition of 100 Black Women – RI chapter), its current programs and agenda, promote membership, and provide a forum for networking among Black women from a variety of backgrounds.

Councilwoman Nirva LaFortune of the City of Providence was in attendance and offered words of encouragement for women seeking new challenges in education, politics and entrepreneurship. Special thanks to RICBW member Audrey Clifton for hosting the event at her home.
